The File menu offers the following commands:

| Close | Close the active image. |
| Save As | Save the active optimized image with a new name. |
| Send by E-Mail | Send the image by E-Mail. |
| Batch Wizard | Activate Batch Wizard to optimize multiple files. |
| Preferences | Change settings that affect the programs operation. |
| 1,2,3,4,5 | Open a recent file. |
| Exit | Quit Image Optimizer. |
